A proper butcher on Sandbed
Do you remember butchers of old? The ones who knew where every cut came from and prepared it exactly the way you asked. That is what we do here on Sandbed, right in the heart of Hawick. We work with local farms and local game, so the beef, lamb and pork on our counter can be traced back to the fields it came from. Nothing is rushed and nothing is padded out. Our bacon is cured properly, so it fries in the pan instead of stewing in a puddle of water. Our sausages, black pudding and haggis are made in-house to recipes we stand behind. Come in for a stew, a Sunday roast or a Christmas turkey and we will help you pick the right thing and cut it to suit. People travel from as far as Fife for it, and we are glad to see them.
